Last Sunday, a mistake by the Morena politicians Luisa María Alcalde, Andrés López Beltrán, Ricardo Monreal, and Adán Augusto López, along with the senator of the Green Party, Manuel Velasco, generated controversy on social media by accidentally ignoring the presence of President Claudia Sheinbaum while taking a photo in the Zócalo of Mexico City before the informative assembly of the head of government.

The involved politicians have already apologized to President Sheinbaum for what happened. Senator Adán Augusto López acknowledged the error and attributed the situation to the excitement of the moment, expressing on social media his regret for not having noticed the president's presence at the event.

The national president of Morena, Luisa María Alcalde, also regretted the incident and emphasized that any oversight in protocol does not diminish the importance of the unity demonstrated by the people at the event. In her words, she highlighted the relevance of Claudia Sheinbaum’s message for the nation and rejected the distraction attempted by the opposition.

For his part, the coordinator of the Morena Deputies, Ricardo Monreal, issued a sincere apology to President Sheinbaum and expressed his absolute respect, loyalty, and support for the decisions made by her in favor of the country. The situation has been clarified, and the politicians have acknowledged the oversight made during the event in the Zócalo.
